In the latter part of this year, I think the club has got a bit nearer, to what it used to be, under the new system, with runs to Thorney Island and about three runs with the vehicles, organised by Chris S. & Myrddin.
These outings finished up at the pub, all subsidised by the club, more vehicles would be nice. We have also had a, “ Fish & Chip” night, organised by Paul B. and paid for by the club. Also some speakers.
We nearly ended the year with the Christmas Dinner at, “The Black Dog,” pub, with 23 members attending. I intended to have it at, “The Old Forge,” but this depended on having at least 40 members, which we were not able to raise, but as it turned out, it all went well.
The “grand finale” was the spread at the December club night, laid-on by the members. Jim D. should be due for an award from his local supermarket, for the amount of food he turned up with.
Denise also laid-on a quiz on the night and Matt K. won the prize and a good time was had by all.
