Club members assembled at the car park at our Club Hall at Waltham Chase on St. Georges Day, Sunday 23rd. April.
We set of on our run, on a beautiful sunny day, passing other historic vehicles enjoying the Hampshire countryside at it’s best.
When we passed the George & Falcon at Warnford, their car park was full of lovely classic cars.
We continued on to the West Meon Hut, where we all enjoyed a Sunday roast before continuing around country lanes until we arrived at the historic village of East Meon, with it’s ancient church, medieval court house, almshouses, thatched cottages and the two old pubs that overlook the stream that runs right through the village.
After driving out of the village up onto the downs, we drove on to Old Winchester, which was an ancient hill fort. With all the magnificent views, that Hampshire has to offer, a good day was had by all.
