Saturday 19th March saw a group of club members visit the London Transport Museum.
We met at Havant train station and boarded the train for London Victoria. The journey was smooth and it felt good to get out with friends. Lots of chit chat amongst fellow members too.
Once in Victoria we headed for the underground line. We only had one change so thought it would all be plain sailing! However once at Covent Garden we found we had a staircase to climb. 193 stairs in all
We managed it, just (the sensible ones took the lift!)
The museum is located in the heart of covent garden so once the ladies of the group had been steered away from the likes of Tiffanys we arrived at the entrance. Dave T had booked us all in, and off we went.
The museum is not huge but has lots of exhibits and a very nice cafe.
The journey back and we all decided to use the lifts! There were a lot of sheep impressions (something from a past trip to Belgium!!!! You just had to be there..)
Once safely back on the mainline we settled down for the ride home.
A huge thanks to Dave T for booking the train and museum tickets and thanks to all who came along and made the day extra special.
Keep a look out for future trips and events, we always have a fantastic time.
